Hey guys, for some reason, all the guages on my instrumental panel are bright when the headlights are on except the gas guage, which is quite dimmer than everything else. Do you all think a bulb went out behind it? Anyone else had this problem? It just bothers me and I hate trying to look real hard at night trying to see how much gas is left in my tank. Please help! Thanks!

 

Yea, your gas gauge light is prolly out and the only light you are seeing is an ambient light from the other gauges.

 

Damnit, has anyone replaced theirs or have a DIY on doing it??

 

I have the same problem myself so I can relate. It doesn't even bother me anymore.

 

Yeah, but I'm really **** about everything....so it'll always bother me lol

 

Probably has a sensor in it that makes it go out when the price of oil goes above $100 per barrel.
I wish they stuffed a crying towel in the glove box expressly for fill-ups. I have a 34 gallon tank---yikes!!!---Perhaps they should have K-Y dispensers at the gas pumps too!!!!

 

My light went out about a year ago. This is one thing about my truck mechanically it is fine but the nickel and dime **** bugs me. As far as the fill up station we are screwed!!
