Default HEMI MUFFLER

Does anyone know is the stock muffler on 04 Ram Hemi's a high flow or performance muffler from the factory? Im ready to put on new exhaust and am thinking of Gibson high flow single in single out performance muffler, but Im not sure if its gonna give me more horsepower along with the tougher sound over a stock muffler. Ideally I would like a dual exit out the same stock side behind the rear wheel but most systems state you must remove the spare tire if its larger than 16 inches which mine has 17's. I dont want to remove the spare but theirs not much room in their to squeek through two pipes. Anybody got any info.???

There is nothing special about the stock exhaust unless you have a Rumble Bee or Daytona.

Slapping on a cat back is not going to give you much, but the sound will give you the illusion of more power

go down amuffler shop have them fab up the dual setup you want. i have dual out each side behind rear tire and teh spare tire was able to stay ( i have a 20 inch spare) just buy what ever muffler you want and have them throw it in and fab the rest to your wants. like 94rt said you wont get much hp gains with a muff alone.

You'll save some weight with a catback too....the stock muffler is HUGE.
