cleaning chrome wheels
when i wash mine i'll wash them with the same sopa i'm washing my truck with (i do the wheels last) and then once they are dry I use some Windex and clean em up and that usually works the best from what i've found...keeping em waxed is also a good idea too and i know some people don't think to wax their wheels
Wheel cleaner never did crap for me on any type of wheel....maybe just when they are BLACK from the brake pads, but I still think the best way is an old sponge with some good ole soap and scrubbing. And yes, def. wax them with either paste or spray....and they'll look brand new again. I spray wax mine everytime and they still look brand new at 44k as they will at 100k. I see older rams with the same steelies all rusted out because they don't take proper care. So, go ahead and buys ome spray wax rather than the overrated wheel cleaner and keep them shinin!
make sure your wheels are nice and hot. lol. NOOO
cant believe nobody brought this up, if you wash chrome wheels while theyre hot (like after a long drive) theyll look f$*ked up.
i dont like chrome cause i take it off road and on the beach (but they sure look nice)

I use soap and water when i'm washing my truck. I clean them down good once dried and use windex glass cleaner wipes to finish off all of my chrome.. It gives it a nice reflective shine!!!

I wash my aftermarket aluminum wheels on the truck and the chrome wheels on my Jeep with care wash concentrate and pressure washer while washing the vehicle. I'll use a soft brush for stubborn brake dust.
After the wheels are dry, I polish them with a cloth or wool made to go on a rechargeable drill with a good wheel/chrome polish. My current personnal favorite is FLITZ. Looks fantastic and the flitz puts a wax like coating on them that keeps 'em looking good for quite a while...

I don't have chrome rims, but when I wash my truck I clean the bumper and grill with a stainless steel polish. I know that what is on my truck is chrome, but the polish leaves an awesome shine. It's so bright you can see your reflection without distortion from the chrome.
