Superchips, notice a difference?

i finally picked up a sc 3815, for 200 off craigslist. i installed it with the 87 tune and the shifting is so much better and faster, ive also gained 2 mpg's more.
anyone whos lookin to get one use crazedlist to search the whole countrys craigslist. im in md but bought one from a guy in texas

When you buy one it should already be unlocked. If not you will be paying to get Superchips to unlock it and that is not cheap.

The power wire works nicely with Superchips, they make a good combo.

Mileage XS i like / Don't like
04 ram 1500 ST 5.7 39k i updated the unit then installed in the vehicle with the 87 octane settings all shift points and rev limit kept standard. took the truck on a nice ride and checked the mileage when i topped of the tank at home increase of 3mpg was getting 10mpg. (that was the i like part) the i don't like part is the truck does not like to shift out of low gear 25mph+ before it starts going through the gears, so reset the truck back to stock nice easy shift back to old mileage. called superchips with the issue and have not heard back yet

If you go onto the flashpaq forum and talk to Ron, he will be able to hook you up with a special program that will lower the part-throttle shift point for first gear. This is a common complaint from people that they don't like how long first gear holds on.

it will hold your gears longer. thats what most people like about it. werid you liek yor truck to shift right up in to higher gears quickly. the stock shift points are too soft and shift way way too quick. by the time you hit 30-40 mph your already into 4th gear. no need to be in 4th going that slow. i have had mine set to the 91 tune since the day i got it as i like it the best, i didnt get the sc for mpg gains though it was just a one of the benefits of getting it. i like to drive my truck hard. she likes to be abused

I gained 2-3mpg with the 91 tune. and the shifting makes it 100% better then stock. I took it out for a week and I hated how it shifted stock. I've even had it in my moms 08 ram, and it made the same difference as mine.
