Default Superchips, notice a difference?

I bought my superchips and I have on the 91 performance tune. Other than worse mpg, I'm not seeing a huge diference from stock tune. I've already run one tank of super through it and I am trying a second. If I go back to stock, and don't see a difference, then I am going to be selling mine. What kinds of performance changes are you guys getting. I was told it was a night and day difference, but I cant tell on mine.

I noticed a tremendous difference in our 05 Hemi. Somewhat better MPG. I chose the 87 octane setting and am well pleased with it. I have heard of others on teh Flashpaq forum say their performance was diminished after uploading the recent update. I installed the update in my tuner, but I will not install it until that particular problem has been resolved, if indeed it is a problem.

I know for a long time after the 07 Hemi Rams came out, the tunes on that model year lagged way behind the 04-06 tunes. Even though the tuner was the same and the updates were the same, there were not near the performance enhancements made when the truck was an 07.
You may be in the same boat with your 08 as the 07 people had to deal with for most of the model year. Tunes on the 07 have been ironed out to include most of the enhancements the 04-06 people have enjoyed.
Get on the Flashpaq forum and ask the calibration team how the tune on an 08 compares to the tunes for prior Hemi's. Let them know that you are not receiving the benefits that many who have 04-06 Hemi's report getting. You may find that if you hold onto it a few months, as the calibration team starts to unravel changes made to the 08 PCM you'll experience the huge performance and modest mpg gains the rest of us are enjoying.
If nothing else, your tranny shifts should be MUCH crisper, are not noticing this at all?

Yes the shifts are crisper and the going in and out of MDS bump doesn't bother me anymore. But I am just not seeing the power. I think I will go back to stock for now and wait.

The best option for me is 87 tune with 89 octane. I do however have a 2002 4.7 with the superchips microtuner, and I know its comparing apples to oranges. But play around withthe options a bitbefore completely giving up on it.

I just did the 91 tune and did see better milage. The one thing I did note was on the tire size, my 31570R17 measure 34.5" and I had to set it at 33.25 to get the speedo to match...

You should take a tape and measure your tires, on level ground, top to bottom. I found roughly the same thing, just not quite the difference you did. My tires are listed as 35x12.5x17 and when I originally set my SC to 35 it was off. Someone on one of the forums suggested I actually measure because:
1) Tires never seem to be as tall as they are spec'd.
2) The weight of the vehicle makes a difference.
and C) The amount of air you run them with makes a difference.

Sure enough, mine measured right at 34.25" and when set to that height with the SC I'm within 1 mph according to my GPS...

I think I am now convinced SUPERCHIPS BLOWS. I just put my truck back to the stock tune and noticed better power and response than either of the two tunes they had. I am HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED in my tuner. I will prolly put it up for sale when I figure out how much they charge to unlock it so it can be used by someone else. Prolly an 06 guy would love it, but this 08 has a better truck without it.
