Ok, so it's not overly impressive but here it is: 15.96 @ 85
Seems kind of slow but for a 6000lb truck (5995 according to the track's scale, including my 290 lbs, 3/4 tank of gas) with $500 in mods I guess it's ok.
First slip:
60ft: 2.38
1/8: 10.21
mph: 64.0
1/4: 16.14 @ 83.24 mph
Backed that up with a nearly identical run vs. a stock Chevy Silverado SS, which totally killed me with a 15.2 @ 88.7. Theoretically they make the same power and weigh a little more than I do but apparently the numbers miss something.
Since my truck is a 2003 and the Superchips can't change the shift points, I decided to then shift it myself. I let it do the 1-2 on its own and then shifted 2-3 myself right at 6k rpm.
60ft: 2.39
1/8: 10.32
mph: 68.35
1/4: 16.04 @ 85.65
Hey, that made a big difference! Why not try manually shifting the 1-2 as well?
60ft: 2.33
1/8: 10.24
mph: 68.45
1/4:15.96 @ 85.02
That's the best it had so I called it quits for the day. I have 56k miles and it's on stock plugs & wires so they'll be done soon. Also, over the past 10 years this track has consistently been slower than my local 1/8 mile results, by several tenths, so it can always vary a little either way.
Future mods include exhaust and efans, and one day a cam if I can find an installer in the southeastern US.
