did someone say the front end is lighter on a 4.7? it should be the same, the front end on a 1500 has a weaker susp than on a 2500.

companies will mfg whatever sell, as for jeeps, a jeep plow is closer to the front susp so less torque is applied to the susp vs on a dodge. (if you dont understand physics ill add a drawing)

Most pickups with plows in my neck of the woods are 1500 series pickups from GMC, ford, and dodge. My father plows with a 92 F150 without any issues. If 1500 GMC's can take it, why can't the 1500 Dodge's take it. We did get a lot of snow here in QC Canada, and haven't heard any of them complain. Plus chrysler sells a 1500 series ram with the plow package!!!!!

Thanks for the Mola comment...

I try to baby her, so the plow has only been on for this winter, and she's an 02 with 38k...

Damn 2 mile commute to work.
