Default Brake noise

I noticed that my breaks, are strating to squeak when i hit them somtimes and now even more often now. Last weekend i checked to mak sure that i didn't need new pads, and all 4 of them were fine. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know where the noise is coming from and how to fix it?

make sure u have checked the pads really good, sometimes at first glance the can look good, look at the top and bottom of each pad sometimes if you glance at the top and it has a lot of pad , then look at bottom its nothing because the pad was worn at an angle, if your sure that all pads are good, then you either have junk break pads, which the cheaper they are they more raw metal fragments they have and the metal contacting the rotors will make this sound.could also be bad spot in the rotor. if dont go away and you cant stand i would replace the pads with ceramic ones and either turn the rotors or buy new.

sometimes dust and small rocks get caught betwean the caliper and the rotor, I go this a lot with the rear and front discs onmy 06 2500 Ram, trip to the car wash cures it, depending on your miles, it could be the pads, squeal sensors can break off and as mentioned, thiermight bea high spot on the rotor

The factory rotors on the Rams are ****, and have a tendency to warp. If your pads are fine, then good bet that warped rotors are causing the problem. I just replaced mine this past weekend and the difference is phenominal. And the squeak is gone.

I have had them squeek too. On fairly new brakes when I new that the rotors were not warped. I still don't know what causes it.

let me say this again if the pads are not fully ceramic they will squeak from time to time. sometimes when you first put new breaks on they have to set in good before they quiet. also when you go to a junk parts store and get the 19 dollars ones what do you expect, they are going to squeak from time to time and maybe a lot of time, also going to wear fast also going to leave large amounts of brake dust on wheel.
