what headers to get
Cant decide which headers to get or which one would effect the performance the most. I have narrowed it between the Pacesetter Longtube or the Eddelbrock Shorty's. Also what else should i do with the exhaust. I have a flowmaster 40 series cat back but was wondering if i should do like and H pipe or Y pipe. Let me know Thanks
Anybody's LT headers will outperform anybody's Shorty's.
I have the Pacesetters and love them. Install is really easy on a 1500 series Hemi, the lower bolts are very accessible from underneath and the uppers are right inside the tire wells if you take out the plastic well liners. Only modification of any type was I had to dremmel out one of the bolt holes just a smidge as it didn't line up perfectly when all the others were dead on.
I've seen dyno's of most brands and the only one that is significantly better than the Pacesetters are the Dynatechs, but at three times the cost. Didn't make my exhaust any louder, but gave it a much deeper tone, I really like the sound.
Good seat of the pants increases at low rpm's and excellent increases in mid & upper rpm's. The only thing I would suggest is to ditch the cardboard filter that comes with it and get a Mopar one or one from Moe's Performance.
I used the cheasy one that came with it, and after about seven or eight months I've got no problem, but I expect to have issues with it eventually. When I do, I'll get the one from Moe's and a good set of locking header bolts and re-do it.
Here are a couple of pics after install, before I put the well liners back on...

Get pacesetters like hammer said...best bang for the buck by far. Shorties are more for appearance and trucks in states that are very emissions strict...like my hippy state California.

when they look back on it
most buyers of headers wish they had bought
a header that gave no exhaust leak trouble,
so make that a high priority

These are the headers I am running, I think Hammer is using the same set
