Default Factory remote start

I'm new here and just got an 08 QC 1500 Hemi Sunburst Orange Pearl with factory remote start. First time I've ever had one. Question, when I start it, get in and try to drive it won't go in gear, have to shut it off and re start. Can this be reset somehow? Thanks.

Your putting the key in, and turning it far enough forward right?

Yea. You have to put the key in, turn if forward to on. NOT to start. After doing that, then you can put the truck in Reverse/Drive while applying the break as normal. When you get in, just do not press the brakes until you put the key in the ignition and turn it to ON.

Let me get this straight, your truck stops with your key in the ignition in the run position? If this is the case then you need to take it back to the dealer and get this fixed. You should be able to remote start, hop in, put the key in the ignition, turn to the run position and take off. If this is not the case then take it to your dealer. You should not be able to remote start your truck and drive it without the key in the ignition in the run position, helps stop thieves and such.

You also need to make sure you push the unlock button on the remote or the truck will shut off when you stick the key in.

Yeah I love my remote start from the factory. Once you have the key to run it should work fine if not take it back. The only complaint I have is I wish it would notify you when the truck started.
