I dunno much about lifts, but I do know that the body lift lifts the body off the frame...usually with a spacer of some sort. Suspension lift would be a lift using the suspension....it's more expensive but probably more useful since the whole truck is raised.

body lift does lift it off the frame, the suspenion lift puts the spacers between the leafe springs and the axle. Both offer room for larger tires, but (if i remember correctly) though less expensive, doesnt increase your ground clearance(bodylift) and throws your center of gravity off more. That is if my memory is working, lol. hope that helps m8.

Do a search, I did a rather lengthy write-up on the different ways you could lift your truck (Body, Suspension, Level & T-bar crank) with costs, advantages & disadvantages of each a few months back...

Remember the axle height remains the same.
Now you will be able to go up a steeper incline as your bumper will be raised.

Yes, body lifts allow you to put bigger tires but the only ground clearance your gaining is from the bigger tires. A suspension lift lifts the whole frame and body together. Suspension is the way to go for the better offroad performing machine. With a body lift, any lift over 2 inches is noticable by a gap between the frame and the body and to me, looks funny.
