If i have a ram 1500 quad cab. factory exhaust right now. im looking at getting tips so i can do dual exhaust how the factory kinda is. all piping with tips out behind the back wheels to the side. how long do i need the tips??? ebay has some im looking at that are 18" long. is that too long???

Are you doing dual split rear? 18" should fit but I would measure it. Look at Flowmaster or Magnaflow tips they have some nice 12" and 13" tips but they are expensive if you order from them directly.

for the most part. i just ordered a black chrome grille today, and the wheels are black chrome, and im gonna finish it with a black chrome exhaust, i just cant figure out how long they need to be. but it will be black and black chrome.

im in indiana, hasnt been too nice up here lately. probably later this week im gonna get it fully cleaned up and take some real pics. both of these pics were from my cell phone at work because ive had to work ALOT.

 

18 inches are good..even 22's won't be bad..just put the tip to where you want it to be over your existing exhaust pipe, they won't be sticking out of the back by 16 inches if you slide it up a bit futher over the pipe
