ok, i know there's about 50 billion posts about levleing kits, but i looked and can't find an answer. I'm about to get a levleing kit for my 03 2wd 4.7. I called to order a 2 inch and was told that i would need new comtrol arms and longer shocks. I have never heard this and i had a guy look at it and he said he didn't think i' need it at all, so i'm lost now, i'd like to order it this week so just looking for some actual facts. thanks guys

 

well i dont have a 2wd and i dont know what kind of system your lookin at but i got a 2.5 in put on mine and didnt need anything extra. mayb you do for the 03s. not sure. but thats what i know. love the tires btw

 

I did a 2 1/2" level on mine. The only "extra" I needed was an alignment. Who did you call that was trying to "pad" the deal?

yeha i figured they were jsut trying to throw extra stuff out there, it was 4wheelonline.com or something like that maybe 4wheelpartsonline.com the lady sat there and told e what a levling kit was and why people got them and i was like no duh sherlock, why do you think i'm callin?!! haha, i figured she was dumb, but i was jsut making sure, thanks guys

thanks, i'm bout to sel it though, i had an 06 Mustang GT in the shop getting the works for about 3 months and i can't keep all my toys. I've got a guy i tihnk will take it tomorrow but who knows. I'll still have my 4.7 though which i really do like.
