for me, its all the hills here in san diego. i have a feather foot. i dont hit the gas, even when a ford, chevy, nissan, or toyota wanna race me. never. to put it in better terms, i drive like a granny. but i look kool doing it. hahaha. but i dunno dude. its all the stopping and going. there are lights every block (almost) and hills up the ***!!!!

 

Unless your job is paying for your gas, I would seriously be thinking about finding a car to commute to work with. Maybe you can get lucky and find a dealership like the one in my town. It's a Dodge / Kia dealership and they had a sale, buy a New Ram, get a New Kia free. Of course the Kia was a stripped down POS, and you barely got anything off the sticker of the Ram, but if you look at it in the Gas Mileage stand point, you could commute your 160 miles everyday to and from work in a gas sipping Kia, and screw around in town in your Ram.

According to my work logs, I'm spending $18.56 a day in gas. That's averaged out over a month, the last 5 months (When I got my Ram) I've averaged $556.8 in gas per month, around 3,000 miles a month. You didn't specify if your 160 mile commute was everyday, but if it is, you'll be averaging more miles a month than me.

Of course you're used to a gas guzzler, but let's think practical here. If I drove a car that averaged 30 mpg's like the Kia's, I would save $270 a month in gas... Luckily for me, my job pays for 90% of the gas that goes into my truck, so I don't have to worry about that, and pulling that trailer through the mountains with a kia, well that would be a hoot...

I've never heard of a buy one get one free deal with a vehicle, but then again itis a Kia, better off asking for an ipod, you wouldn't have to get plates on an Ipod

to the matter at hand, i've got an 06 w/ MDS get about 13-14 in town w/ alot of stop and go driving,if it's straight hwydriving w/o a trailer and almost no weight in it ican get about 21going downhill
