1400 my ***. more liek 500000000000.
anyways, here's my project so far.

i'm happy with it. the corners aren't perfect, but i tried so damn hard to get them perfect.
the bottom piece is tricky as ****. i'm not sure what i'm gonna do.

i have an idea for your corners.....u need to put some turned metal in their.....i mean by that..... bend some pieces of metal that are the same height slip open the fabric and stick em in then sew it back up it will give you sturdyness and it will fill out the fabric....shouldnt be to expensive either
800th time's a charm!

soo...the hinges were the hard part. the fabric and ****...i just used the original, tore the seams, and traced them onto new fabric, and sewed them back together. i probably used about 7 yards of vinyl though..i should have used like 1. AND THEN, the hinges. the top half doesn't just screw into plastic, so that was easy. but the bottom, i had to drill/tap through the metal underneath the plastic. and, i used some "prettier" hinges...and failed with those. miserably. i'm not even gonna tell u ****ers what i did (lol)...then i said fukkit...and bought some 3" door hinges.

came out nice man. i still cant ****in beleive dodge found a cheaper route to just not have it open and make a giant box in the middle of your seat. thats ridiculous
on mine i can raise the lid for storage. but when u flip the whole console up for the mid seat, i can also raise that to reveal the secret stash, it was all from factory though sorry no tips or pics unless some one knows how to do add pics in post?

^^ or even easier.
if you dont' have a photobucket, upload it to www.imageshack.us and give us the link.
sooooo...there is a storage compartment under the seat too? interesting. i bet i could figure that **** out. i bet it's already on a pivot, and you just gotta take out the screws preventing it from closing...lol. nothign a few door hinges can't fix.

dude, i'm actually pretty good with a sewing machine, but if you've got a mom or a girlfriend that can make some simple seams, it's all good.
otherwise, it's pretty simple. the hardest part was drilling/tapping the machine screws i used toi attach my hinges to the bottom part (cause there was metal in there), and in the top, it's plastic only, so i just ran some screws right into it.
i'll write up a diy in next few days. it'll probably be liek a 4 page write up...and i have like 35 pics, from start to final product.
