does the plastic storage container on the inside lift out? if so you might take it out and then fabric. Once done re-insert the container to make it appear nice (i.e. not see the fabric edges.). I am going to call around my salvage yard and see if they have any trucks with the center done. If not, I am going to be following close behind on this mod too!

i noticed when they assembled this in factory, they used staples in some areas of the originaly vinyl...that went straight into the plastic. and...i have a "heavy duty" staple gun...and yea, sstaples bounce off this **** like nobody's business. damnit. next idea.

well, the staples are only seeming to not go in on that first spot i tried. the thing is...when you open it, i'm gonna see staples going all up and down the sides (whcih i wanted to avoid...but i gotta keep this stuff stretched..)...
i think for the top half of it, i'm gonna sew up a sleeve for it...cause it is a more symetrical shape than the bottom.
god, if it wasnt' so ugly, i'd put it back in truck as black plack plastic, but that foam **** is ugly, and important
