Default Dodge, American?

I know dodge is an american company...but where exactly is it made.....i heard mexico and a few other answers.....

just wondering where the AMERICAN truck was made. at work today i mentioned my truck was american and a few guys were like pssh. toyota, bmw and something else was about all that was actually made here in the states.

I know my truck was built at the St. Louis, MO assembly plant, but most of the other '07 & '08 Rams I looked at came from the Saltillo, Mexico plant.

Megas are all built in Mexico, so I'm told. My '03 QC came from St. Louis. Digit 11 in the VIN shows the assembly point. "S" = Dodge City, "G" = Saltillo, Mexico. "J" = St. Louis. Presumably, if digit 11 is "G", then digit 1 is "3".

a lot of the p arts are made in mexico foreign cars actually provide more buisness for the us then do american cars cause the foriegn cars are assembled here.

Can't remember how it goes, but this topic reminds me of the joke about that guy that gets up in the morning to go search for a job, all the while using everything in his home made from everywhere except here in the USA.

Depends on the model. Some in the US, some in Canada. I am not sure if they have a Mexico manufacturing facility anymore. I do know the SRT-10 Ram was built in Mexico.

The last time I looked on a window sticker I think the Ram was 68% N. American. Many do not know you can get that info off the window sticker. Check out Dodge.com, search inventories and view the stickers.

Yep, my Subaru was built in in the USA (Indiana), as were all my Eclipses before that. I toured the Mitsubishi factory in Normal, IL back in 1997.

You'll find Hyundais built in Alabama (and soon Georgia too).

My 2500 was built in Saltillo, Mexico. I'm sure individual components/assemblies came from Canada, The US, and overseas. Seem that when I buy OEM parts from the dealer, they usually have Made in Canada on them, sometimes China.

Sorry to burst your bubble but only 73% of your truck was built in N. America. Although all the components, 73% and otherwise,were assembled here.
