Default t-47 torx SOLUTION UPDATE Post #11

How the hell did you guys get yours off (when installing speakers) because there is no where around here that sells the size t47. Checked Ace, sears, and a few other hardware stores. I just want that bastard off! I tried loosening it with the t30, but I don't want to strip it. Should I use a socket set of what because I already bought the t25 and t30 for the other interior parts. Ah, I've never takenthis long to put speakers in!

Is there a Harbor Freight in your town? If so, you can get a set ofTorx bits for your ratchet T-10 to T-50. Don't remember what I paid... Probably $15

I found it at sears. but it was not in a kit. it was hanging all by itself. and they make you pay for it.

oh damn, I'll go ahead and try a flat head then...lol I think that'll be my best bet. No way is the T-30 going to help, looks like I'll need to go through a box of flatheads and see which one works! THANKS!!! That made me feel 20x better having an alternative, easier option.

if you do have a chance get a bit set off of the snap on guy.. I know I know don't want to spend the money but hear me out. I use these every day for the past six years and have not broke one yet plus the bite a lot better than anthing else. Plus they don't cheap out and only give you have the set. Mine I have is a blue point (same as snap on) and has 30 bits with two drivers and I think it cost me around 25 bucks or so.
