I really like the look of the 08 grill, will the whole chrome cross bar and grill fit my 05? I have a custom grill but im not sure if i like the length that they are appart from each other.

 

It will bolt to the hood. Your issues is going to be the bottom corners, will have gaps given your bumper is contoured for a rounded grill.

 

Gaps will be present.

 

what they said. it fits the hood but your gonna have gaps by the bumper. the old grilles are rounded and the new one have a cut on the corners. you could buy the top piece of the bumper...the paintedpart.... but then you would have a problem with the shape of your headlights. the 02-05 have the rounded circles and the 06-08 have flat headlights on the bottom. and if you wanted a complete change from old 3rd gen to new 3rd gen, you would have to buy the grille, top bumper piece, headlights and front quarter panels to make it identical to the 06
