hello all. new to the forum here.

i have been trying to get a rc/sxt with the 4.7L v8 and 6 speed manual transmission. but from my research there are none in the u.s. so i talked to a dealer today and looks like it will take 6-8 weeks for delivery. now i have also been thinking about the 3.7L v6. what are your opinions on both engines? thanks for the info!

 

There's one at the dealer in Slidell, LA.
(The only one within 350 miles of me)
I was going to test drive it Monday but didn't make it,
I live 40 miles away.
DEFINATELY GET THE V8!!!
I can't imagine a V6 in my Dakota and a Ram weighs another 1000 lbs!!!!

 

oh dang! that's the exact truck that i've been looking for! i doubt that the dealer would wanna do dealer trade that far though. they will probably tell me they would special order one instead.

 

the v6 us good cause it's a fullsize truck, with amazing (compared to the 4.7) gas mileage.

it's kidna sluggish. torque is surprisingly well in the low end, but...middle high end seems to just die out..making the truck slow as crap. that's all i've got for ya.

 

yeah i am still thinking on which one i want. wish i could testdrive a 4.7L in a reg cab.
