You need to get an actual p code number, not just egr or emmision or something. If you get a code you can diag this problem.

Well here is the update, I disconnected the battery and put a new EGR valve on it. Drove it for three days now and the check engine light came back on. So there went 40 bucks down the drain. I am tired of working on this truck already its going in the shop once again.So its a small leak somwhere, how it came about i have no idea. I dont have the time to try and find a small leak, and the charcoal canister i am guessingis going to be $$$$$$$. This blows.That makes three times in two months the truck is in the shop. Unreal.
