I am pretty sure you better get a tuner before you go cutting ur cats off.....or at least talk to a professional mechanic on here.....I wouldnt cut my cats off unless i was gettin headers.......

What happens in a state where they hook the sniffer up to it? O2 sims may cause the computer to read ambient air but do they allow the computer to put out less emissions enough to pass a test?

well first off. i guess i made the mistake of making cats plural and not singular. im just taking off the last one....the 3rd one, not the 2 that come off the headers wheres theres an 02 sensor before and after it. this one has nothing to do with 02 sensors. its the one where the two pipes meet and turn into 1.

second..im not worried about warranty since i have 90k miles on it.

and 3rd. i dont have emissions tests in my state (FL)

thanks for the input guys

The 3rd cat is already off of mine. I want the other 2 gone also tho. Will it mess with anything besides the O2 sensors?

Yeah i was looking at it and it definitely looks like it would be a major PIA but like I said I always thought it would be cool to put some flamethrowers on a truck and you cant do it with them on there. As far as back pressure is concerned, that should not be a big deal since I will still be running some type of a muffler. Not just straight pipes.

i cut them it out yesterday. i jacked up my truck, and began to saw at it, only took 5 minutes to cut it out.....after i started it.....OMFG. the truck was so damn loud....sounded like a beast. but that was pretty much staright headers...i brought it to a shop..owners a good friend of my dads...so he charged me 10$ to weld in a pipe...thank god i didnt fo it myself...i would have just clamped it in and im happy i did it the right way with welding and having the spread the pipes.

i didnt notice too much of a difference from what it was before...maybe a tiny bit louder, but definatly more throatier...got home and recet my pcm....took it on the highway and noticed a prety big difference in acceleration and low end power. its also louder and throatier since i reset the computer....overall im pretty happy with it. super 40 FM btw
