Default just venting a little bit

ok well just need to vent a little bit cause i'm pretty irate right at the moment....i got some new brake calipers from a guy that works at TRW, so since it was nice today i decided to throw em on and see how they did....went through all this crap, got the new caliper on and bled the fronts (new calipers) like i've done in the past at the dealership and on my own vehicles....start the truck and pedal goes right to the floor...bleed em again and have the same results....so i bleed the rears and then the fronts again...pedal feels better but after pressing the pedal and then letting it sit for a minute, the pedal goes right to the floor...needless to say i'm pretty irritated at the moment.....never in my life, have I had problems bleeding brakes before and now i have this....ok i'm done venting now......anyone got any suggestions? i've tried the logical ones that i thought of but obviously that didn't work

You didn't let the brake reservoir go empty when bleeding did you? If dodge is anything like chevy then if you did you'll have to bring your truck in and have the ABS module bled...but hopefully you didn't do that.

Usually if the pedal goes to the floor you havea open somewhere or a **** load of air in the lines...do you see fluid spewing out anywhere?

Also i'm sure you know this but you wanna bleed farthest from the master cylinder first and then work closer. So RR, LR, RF and LF...those are all the ideas I have right now[&o]

Is it possible one of the new calibers is bad? Possibly a seal or something.

As Severe Said - If You Have Any Noticeable Leaks That Would Explain That, But I Figured You'd Mentioned That.

If You Replace The Calipers You Had To Have Lost A Decent Amount Of Fluid. So I Would Expect To Have To Bleed The Calipers A Decent Amount PR - DR - PF - DF. A Couple Of Times Allowing It To Be Always Topped Off. To Me It Just Sounds Like You Have Air In The Lines...

If It Was The ABS That Had Air In it, It Wouldnt Pressurize and Would Give You ABS Light. If You Don't Have An ABS Light - I Would Once Again Do A MAJOR Bleeding Session.

These calipers that you got are they performance calipers. Because the clipers that are on the truck are trw from factory. I have had a couple of ram truck that were hard to bleed out the air. maybe try a gravity bleed for awhile?

If you only bled the fronts the first time then I would say that you didnt do it right the first time. Any time you open the brake system you should bleed all four wheels starting with the furthest from the master. How are you bleeding them too? Pumping the pedal or with a hand pump or with a pressurized bleeder on the master?

Sounds to me like you have a bunch of air in the system still.
