Mine is a 2006 2WD 1500 Quad Cab which i use as my daily commute truck. I am gettin about 13-14 mpg with about 50/50 split in city/hwy miles. I love the quad cab and dodge! Just let my neighbor borrow the truck as they are thinking about going "DODGE". I drove their GMC and i can tell you that i am glad to be back in the Dodge. Only mod on the truck is a tow package.

I have a 07 Mega Cab 4x4 with 3.73 gears. I get 17.6 mpg at 67 mph on the hwy. In town 11-13.7. I have superchips on 91 tune. I also have 285-55-20 and after market wheels. I am going to have 4.10s put in the truck to give it that little bit of help it needs in town with mpg. Before I had the superchips it was 9-11 mpg. I changed my oil to amsoil and added the superchips at 3000 miles and I now have 6200 miles on it now. Dont get 4.56s or you will end up like a Power Wagon and get 10-13 mpg.

I have a 2007 Megacab with a Hemi. So far I have been very happy with it (25000 miles). Normally on city/hwy I average 12-14. Just on the highway the best I get is 17.5. It has plenty of power to pull my 22' boat. I have not had the A/C issue and I live on the Texas coast. I was the same way and did not see the need for the extra towing capacity for me to warrant the CTD. If you are going to tow big loads, the CTD is the way to go. If not, I have been happy with my Hemi

How many tanks after installing the Superchips was it before you saw the Increase in MPG's? Maybe they changed something for the 2007's because I've NEVER seen MPG's that high, and I have STOCk tires!

What wheels do you have? You got pics? I assume those are BF Goodrich T/A KO tires?

I have a 06 mega 5.7 4wd with 3.73s and average consistantly 11.75 to 12mpg. That's with mostly hwy and some in town and hunting driving. I get around 8 or 9 pulling my 8000lbs camper. I think it pulls pretty good considering its only a 5.7L. I love the space, can be a little cumbersome in parking lots but nothing I cant handle. Over all Im happy with it.

I have an 08 MC Hemiand I LOVE IT.

If you are worried about mpg's then it would be a bad choice though I am getting min 13.5 and I like to show off the power.... If I keep it at 65 or under on the freeway even with hills I average 15-16 and it would do better in a different part of the world (Oregon and WA have lots of hills). I use mine weekends only to drive to my property in the mountains or at the beach plus a little play time close to home

Bottom line;
Drives like a dream
Gets OK mpg's
More power than you ever will need

Maybe DCX changed something for the 07-08's that get better MPG. Because the 06 has NEVER seen over 12MPG even with all highway, and the superchips on performance tune, and driving like an old lady!

They must have Chad, based on what you and others with the 06 have said....

Personally I have way more fun getting 10-12 than should be legal.... oh I guess it really isn't legal
