p0052 driving me nuts!!!
Hey guys, i'm new to posting to this forum, but i always read posts from here. well like the title says, my truck is driving me nuts. I keep getting this p0052 code and i already changed my o2 sensor like the mechanic from mobil one inspection station told me to do so. He told me to change the one on the passenger side after the catalytic converters, and so i did but it still keeps throwing the same code. He said that i might need to reset the computer but nothing changed. Please help also noticed the gas mileage has gotten worse, i have an 03 dodge ram pickup, 4.7
well thats the thing, at oreilly's store they sold me the universal o2 sensor and they told me it should work on both ways. the only problem is that the universal you have to splice it. I used the connectors that i got with it, but i don't know if they are going to do the job. what do you recommend, should i just go to the dealer and buy the original ones or whats the best thing to do? these universal one cost me 60 bucks.
P0052 O2 SENSOR 2/1 HEATER CIRCUIT HIGH - possible causes;
O2 HEATER TEST
O2 SENSOR HEATER ELEMENT
(A141) FUSED ASD RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT
HEATER CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
HEATER CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
PCM
Like Chad said, that is the front sensor. Its the one on the passenger side.
Taking the cheaper way out doesn't work most of the time. You'll wind up paying more in the end.
My suggestion is to get a new sensor for the front from the dealer and try that. If you cut the wires to splice them, then you have to be super careful to get the wires right. Solder/heat shrink, etc.
