Default Computer Chips

My dad was debating on wether or not to install a performance chip into his 04 HEMI Quad 4x4, if he did this what would be the benefits, and would there be any drawbacks to it, has anyone here done this, what brand would be best?

Thanks guys

I have the same setup as your dad,and looking seriously at the new Hypertech program module. Right now I'm trying to validate their claims of horsepower/torque. I will keep you informed if I find out any additional information.

I look at it as a very usefull tool, it reads codes, and tells you what it means, it can re-program for change in tire size, (saving you two trips to the dealer), and you also get some extra hp/trq for your money. Im buying it for the codes, and tire, o ya, and gear chages. I live to far away from a dealer to make a trip down to them eveyrtime a code goes off. Ive kinda got my eye on the new HyperPac, from Hypertech, not alot of information about it out yet, it just pre'd at SEMA, wheres that link..
