I don't know alot abought Mopar V/8's, but I have driven a 1973 Duster with a stock 340 and 4 sp, and it was mighty fast in a stright line ... I'm not to sure if the 340 came with the same cam as a 383, But for now I'm going to say the 5.7 Hemi is pretty dam fine ...
Granted a 440 six pack in a Ram ( TBI instaed of carbs ) would be my preferance over the SRT V/10

I had to go with the 426 because it is THE LEGEND! Never had one, but I did have a 383 in a Fury that was my grandfather's that I inherited when hepassed awaywhile I was in high school. You couldn't kill it, and without the 426 it would have been hard to choose between the 383 and my current 5.7 Hemi...
