Yeah I definately wouldn't do that in my driveway. lol But what is the LSD and what does it stand for? Sorry but this is the first truck I have ever owned and am learning about whatto do on it to have it perform well and so that I can lift it without losing performance. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all your help Hammer. Did you get LSD's for the front and rear axels or just the rear? What kind of MPG do you get out of that hemi with that set up and 35's?

LSD for rear only, can't do the fronts on a 1500,at least not since '01. 3rd gen 1500's are IFS - that means CV's, not a solid front axle.
Average around town, combo driving is in the mid to upper 13's and on trips back home to the GA. farm (which are all too infrequent anymore) where it's 90% interstates, I can get mid to upper 16's. I am realistically about 1 mpg less than when it was bone stock, and remember some of my mods are HEAVY. I'm just shy of 7000 lbs. with my fat *** in it, according to the landfill scale. A lot of mpg mods here: e-fan, CAI, exhaust, LT headers, tuner, etc...

That's not too bad. I have the 4.7 and I am light on the gas because I just bought it and it's my baby. lol But I am around 12 in town; however, those are all 4mi trips or less. Mine is all stock except for the 285x70x17 Khumo all terrains. I have a 40series D.O.R flowmaster on the way. After that I am doing a TB spacer and a Volent CAI. Around Christmas I am going to put new headers and replace the Cat Converter's with Magnaflow's. Then around may I am going to put dual 206 cam's in it. I will go with the 4in lift and 35 toyo's along with the 4.56's and LSDafter these tires wear out. Thanks for all your help and info though. I have reallylearned alot.

You might want to seriously look into the 212X cams. The 206 is a great torque cam but sacrifices some HP. The 212 is a great HP cam but sacrifices some torque. The 212X has a custom grind that gives identical torque gains as the 206, but with the same HP gains as the 212.
Eveyone I know with a 4.7 who is looking at a CAM upgrade is looking seriously at the 212X. And best thing is, same retail price as the 206's...

I will look into that then. You can get those off of KRCperformance.com right? Either way they really add a ton of power and performance to a truck.
