Default New Here!

Just got my first truck for Christmas. My 2008 Dodge Ram SXT 2wd v6brand new from the dealer. Pretty nice since it came with 22" Forte rims the dealer picked out. Oh yeah! I know its pretty nice but being young and all, Im thinking about putting some mods on. Not sure want I want though.Im thinking about a leveling kit and/or lift kit - keeping it small though - to give it a beefier stance and maybe even put some bigger tires on (they're brand new but...i dont know?). Of course, im keeping the rims but i would like to have some more rubber between my preciouswheels and the hard and dangerous road. Right now its sitting on some 305/40/22 Continental tires. Also i want to get a new exhaust so it sounds like the big boy V8s...maybe even better? My truck also came with sat radio and so I may want to upgrade the system. I dont really know what i want. I dont have to do everything but I just need some else extra to really make it stand out. I need some advice. If i could do just one thing, what would be the best??? I really dont want to put in too much cash into my ride. Just need something that will help with the look and add to my rims.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeKxdjM-9pY

i've got that little power wire deal...works well at high speeds. can't really notice anything lowend.

step bars i got for under 200 shipped (ebay)
intake under 50 shipped (ebay)
truxedo bed cover ~200 shipped (ebay)
muffler-back rear exit duals ~300 (see vid)

currently modifying my armrest to become a folding armrest with storage (some st's don't have it...which sucks).

got my wheels from someone seeling them as ebay as "pick up only - no shipping". so, i got the 20s for 500 cash, and had to drive an hour to get them.

First step, use the search engine for the topics you want. Anything short of hooking up 2 3.7L in series to make a 7.4L V-12 has been done somewhere. Rumor has it there is a turbo'd 3.7 running around, but I am having a very hard time tracking him down. He is an ASAE mechanic for chrystler, but as I said, I've only heard of him once, so he may be a froum ghost. Congrats on the new truck by the way!
As far a preformance goes, here is a list of the " Standard " upgrades: ( upgrades that almost everyone does with the 3.7L Ram. )
POWERWIRE: http://www.airram.com/product.php?ca...p;productid=21

AIR INTAKE: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-01...ayphotohosting

OR COLD AIR INTAKE: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ksid=p3907.m29

HIGH FLOW EXHAUST: Too many to mention.

RE-GEAR THE REAR AXLE TO 3.93 OR 4.10

BOSCH +4 OR NGK V-POWER (MY CHOICE) SPARK PLUGS.

JET STAGE 2 CHIP. ( I HAVE THE STAGE 1, NOT WORTH IT IN MY OPINION, STAGE 2 IS OK )

Also, I would HIGHLY recoment useing CONCKLIN products "Fuel Mate Plus" fuel additive ( 2oz per 15 gal. gas ratio) with EVERY tank. I get about 1 mpg increase in fuel milage from using this stuff alone. It is worh it. No felt power differance, but better mpg's.

About the lifts I saw, I know there's a Daystar 2wd 1.5" leveling kit for $40 but i dont know its good. I also saw a Performance 3" body liftfor $350. both at suspensionconnection.com. Has anyone used this stuff before? And whats the biggest tires i can put on wit em?

How about some appearance parts for my Ram? Im thinking about a new grill and maybe a sweeter soundin exhaust! Anything else????? Not a big fan though of the chrome mirror covers, gas cover, door handles, fenders, etc. Im tryin to keep the truck black, kinda like the Night Runner edition except for my 22s.
