SuperChips Question
2008 1500 Mega Cab
True Flow CAI
Superchips
Powerwire
I have had my Superchip installed for a few months. I have it set it to the Economy setting and coupled with my new Trueflow XDI CAI - I lost alot of low end torque and my shift points are not as crisp as I would like.
I want to change my chip to the performance setting. I have about a half a tank left of my 87 octane. Do I need to wait until I empty the tank before I make my changes on the chip? Also - going from the 87 setting to the performance setting - I am assuming that I should reset the computer before uploading the performance setting?
I am hoping that this will get rid of the low end drag that I am experiencing.
Thansk in advance for the help

You will need to run your tank a little lower around a quarter of a tank to make sure that the blend is above 91 octane. This all depends on what size tank you have in the truck as well. At half a tank, you fill up with 93 octane, you will be around 90 octane. Just to be on the safe side, wait until your down around quarter tank and then you will be up to 91 or 92 octane filling up with 93 octane.
As far as the computer goes, you don't have to reset it. Before you load up the performance program, upload the stock tune first, then make sure that there are no updates for your programmer from the SC site, then go back and upload the performance tune. Do this in that order. Do not update your programmer B4 you upload the stock tune and make sure you go back to stock B4 you uplaod the performance tune, just to be on the safe side.
