Default Leveling kit problem...tires dont fit!!

I have a 05, 1500 laramie, with the stock 20" rims. I went out and got a 2-3" torsion keyleveling kit with a add-a-leaf and the kit said it will fit 35" tires. I put the new torsion keys in, and got new 20" rims with 35" tires, and they dont fit. Any suggestions, the only thing I can think to do is downsize the tires to 33" or get a 3" body lift. The tires fit in the wheelwells, but when I turn the tire, it misses by 1/4" turning to the right, and hits turning to the left. I only would need 1-2 more inches of lift, any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

Your title should say tire problem not leveling kit problem. Just lift it higher, go with the 3" body lift.

The only reason why I didnt want to put a body lift on was I have heard a lot of bad things about them, espically if they arnt done right. Ive never put a body lift on before, I know a guy who said he will do it for $300, but it will take hima weekend, so im just hesitant about putting one on, was hopeing there was another way around it.
