I'm sellin my dak and getting a 05+ ram. I'm lookin to spend upto 30k on it. I just want something more reliable I've been looking for a while and I wanna buy one soon now. I still havent decided on a reg cab or a quad cab. I've seen some good deals on reg cabs. and I dont think I really need the extra room of the quad cab. I'm only 22, and not starting a family any time soon. and the wife can drive the family vehicle anyways

heres the best deal I've found soo far

another pretty good deal

I'm goin out to a bunch of dealerships tomorrow and test drive some.

and for all the people with reg cabs, do you wish you went with a quad cab? or is there enough room in them?
Surprisingly the rams RC's are really roomy...by far the biggest i've been in and owned. Even the middle seat on the bench is big so you can fit 2-3 (not including you)comfortably...if taking more then 2 chics at a time for a ride put the fatest ones in the bed. That's where they belong anyway. Also to me QC's kinda shout out that you're a family guy with a baby seat in the back...not a good thing if you're young and single like us.

Even a loaded RC I wouldn't pay more then 21k for brand new...I paid 16k for mine but it's 2wd.

wow, this really changed my mind. I might just go with a quad cab, but I just love the looks of the reg cabs soo much. and I 'll have to see if theres any deals on the new ones now. ,aybe I'll go that route.

and the electric blue one is practically new, it must have just been sitting on the lot for a long time.

BTW what are your goals for the truck...if you're looking to make a semi quick truck then a RCSB would be the best platform to start with. Yes, you can make a QC quick also but mod for mod a RCSB will always be faster. But if you need the extra seat for people or cargo you don't want in the elements then i'd get a QC...plus they ride smoother.

I basically just want it for a daily driver/truck. I use the bed of my truck alot and tow the 4 wheeler alot. I just dont like the looks of the quad cabs, I wish they would make a cab and a half. I went and looked at acouple today, some were sold and the electric blue one had a centre console and not a bench. theres no way I'm paying 30k for a 2 seater truck.

I walked away with my 08 1500 Mega SXT for under 28K brand new, added block heater, fog lights and 6 disc sirius radio, gotta love the newbie salesman at the dealership. Not that it's what your looking for, but more of aprice comparison.

high duke? whats the diff between slt and laramie just curios
im not sure of the SLT options, but in the Laramie, we have everything an SLT has plus more. such as leather seats, autodimming mirror, sliding rear window. butt warmers, 6cd changer, infinity speakers, sirius radio, chrome package, towing package, towing mirrors, and plenty more i just cant think of off the top of my head. its the top of the line. like, comparing a regular Benz to an AMG Benz. same deal.

Get a regular cab, everyone basically has a quad cab. I have driven regular cab rams since I was 16 and now I am 20, not once needed the extra room, I like the configuration and styling of the regular cab much more. I also don't mind that it's quicker due to the saved weight. If you have no family like meand don't want to be the taxi of your friends, get a regular cab, I couldn't be happier. If you have any questions on the regular cabs don't hesitate to ask or pm me, I own a 98 rcsb 4x4 ram and an 06 rcsb 2wd hemi ram.

As for buying used, screw that if you're dropping 30K.

After 5 RC's my 6th truck is a QC, I still prefer the looks of a RC, but the convenience of the QC is hard to beat, especially for a grandpa hauling his granddaughter around in her car seat!

well I just bought a 05 daytona ram 4x4 hemi. it was the one in the 3rd link I posted. I got it for 22k. it was a US truck, it came from new york. so its all in miles. and I think it had 25k miles on it, so thats like 40k something kms. it is in really good shape. the only thing it was missing was the front ground effects on the bumper, but they said they would fix it, and the inside is perfect in it. I get a 3 year 60,000kms warranty on it too. I pick it up saturday, I'm soo excited. and I think I have my truck sold for 6k
