I'm sellin my dak and getting a 05+ ram. I'm lookin to spend upto 30k on it. I just want something more reliable I've been looking for a while and I wanna buy one soon now. I still havent decided on a reg cab or a quad cab. I've seen some good deals on reg cabs. and I dont think I really need the extra room of the quad cab. I'm only 22, and not starting a family any time soon. and the wife can drive the family vehicle anyways

and for all the people with reg cabs, do you wish you went with a quad cab? or is there enough room in them?

 

quad cab all the way man. u might not need the room but where the girls gonna sit. plus u can put amps and subs under the back seats. but make sure u love ur truck cause this forrum wasnt started for nothin lol

 

If you're lookin to spend around 30K, i wouldnt mess with anything used...may as well get brand new and score the lifetime powertrain. Just my .02 cents...

 

I'll second what semigod said. You can get a nicely setup new 4X4 QC for 30K, get the warranty and not have to deal with some elses headaches. If you're looking to get what you can for 15K then buy used, but if your budget allows 30K go new!

 

yeah, if you are going to spend 30k...get a new one! More benifits and you get a way better finance rate on new cars then you do on used(if you are financing). I'd go with a quad cab too. you don't think you need it but man i dont know how many times having that extra room for stuff or places for people to sit has been real nice...

 

you guys knew exactly what i was gonna say!! lol. go new with $30k. get the warranty. maybe you can wiat a little longer and buy a 2009 Ram?? if so, do it. its wont be too long from now. get a quad cab. youll always need that extra room for something *wink*. LOL!! but if you do wanna narrow it down to those three, id get the electric blue ram. but negotiate the price. we got our 2007 Ram Laramie quad cab for $33k after rebates and negotiations. if you didnt know, the laramie is the 'top of the line' truck for dodge other than the SRT-10. its fully loaded with everything you can think of. you can probably walk home with a 2007 laramie for under $30k if you wanted to.

EDIT: walk home with a NEW 2007 laramie.

Get a QC. It's so much better really.

Local dealer is selling LOADED (leather and sunroof package) SLT-not Laramie-quad cab 4x4 rams with a bunch of other goodies for 30k. That said, i wouldnt pay anyting close to high 20's for a regular cab ram.
