Default 2nd gen bed cap on a 3rd gen?
My dad just bought a 2006 single cab long bed and is trying to find out if his cap from his 95 single cab long bed will fit the new truck. Anyone swap their old caps or know if they can interchange? Your help would be appreciated.

Whether it will physically fit on there or not - I'm not sure. You could try it.
But I do know that the manufacturersmakedifferent caps for the 2nd & 3rdgen models.

welp. the tape measure doesn't lie. It won't fit right. Some of the measurements are off by 2 inches or so.
