Default Spark Plugs

Im glad I found this site,I just replaced my factory plugs on my 02 dodge ram 5.9 with some bosch platinums(2 prongs)
I started it and it took 2 cranks to get it going but once it did,it ran great, drove for awhile and i was happy,A couple hours later
i try to start it and as soon as it starts it dies,If i keep my foot on the gas it stays running.
Im thinking maybe i should put the old ones back in. Any suggestions? Thanks

I put some Bosch platinum 4+ plugs (4 prongs) in to my old Plymouth Laser a few years ago and they killed them thing. I had two plugs go bad in a matter of days. Took a long time to troubleshoot also ... I replaced them with standard Autolite 1 prongers and ran like a top. I haven't changed the plugs in my Ram yet though. Looks like I will have to tackle that this summer.

Rc12lc4 you have gap of 40
champion coppers only, look under you hood you should see that part number on it

Just had a solid 2 minute conversation with a moron at oreillys about just because their computer says you should use plat tips. Told him going by what his computer says makes him only ad smart as the guy that put the info in it is.

I gave him the part # that I needed, he then pulled out that and the one the cpu said to use, he said hrm they look the same but the plat will run better. I asked him why, he said because that's what the computer said. I just sighed and said give me the coppers and for him to call any dodge dealer once I'm gone.

Don't you just hate it when you want a light bulb and the computer can't look it up until you tell him what size motor is in it?

If the computers went down, the dummies wouldn't know how to look it up in a book. to the computer age of parts stores.

Haha lmao just had that 2 days ago at advanceauto, driver fog went out, I was certain it was a 9006 but figured id ask just to be sure and sure enough what engine sir, but what's just as bad is they ask what trim the mother loving truck is. So I usually tell them lonestar as that is not in their system, man that mouse just starts spinning that wheel when they try to figure that one out.

Bosch plugs are crap...always have been. NGK's are a really good plug and their cheaper v-power plugs will work great.

Barb, please be careful with any spilled coolant. It's dangerous for critters and they like the taste.

Amsoil puts out a less toxic one. Havent looked into it.

Dont fall for the "you gotta get the dodge color antifreeze that only dodge sells"
