where is a good but cheap place to get the 2 or 3 inch body spacers?
how much did you pay for yours and how long did it take to install?
im guessing it cant be that bad and about an hr install, right?

A company called Performance Accessories makes a kit that you can get at a off road shop or something. Its around $300. I personally don't have one but my friend does and he didn't get any noticable vibration or anything like others say they do. I would get it if you want a little lift and bigger tires. Just do'nt be off roading becuase you got to remember its still stock suspension that doesn't articullate well. It probably a days worth of work becuase you got to lengthen wires and do something with the 4x4 shifter if you have one also you have to relocate the radiator since its held on by the body. I know it sounds like just loosen the body bolts and replace the spacer then your done but theres alot more to it. If you do it tell me how the ride is becuase im a teenager and cannot afford a real suspension lift let alone the tires and wheels i want.
im thinking 2 inch.. just for the looks, it doesn go rock crawling or anything. most it would see is some good old mud or snow....
i guess maybe the 4x4 shifter and the radiator thing makes sense. that sucks i wasnt thinking.

I got a 3" Performance Acessories body lift kit for $299 on ebay! It took two mechanics with 9-10 years experience each about 9 hours to install! They both agreed that it was going to be the last one they did! You have to cut the fan shroud in half and extend it and you also have a lot of grinding on the front bumper to get it straight again!
If I were to do it again I would go with a suspension lift!
If you only want 2-3" of lift go with new torsion keys in the front and a 3" sky jacker add-a-leaf in the rear!
I have both body and torsion/add-a-leaf!

I used a PA 3" kit on my '98 2nd Gen. Was not the first body kit I ever installed. Took me and ahelper about 8 hours to finish the body kit and took me about two hoursthe following morning to move the rear bumper and install the wheel well liners in the rear.
Not that difficult of a job, the PA instructions are very good. Only thing you need to be careful of is pinching or breaking lines.
Can be done in the garage or driveway with jack stands, a jack, air & hand tools. If you are mechanically inclined and used to working on your truck, I don't see where a person couldn't do it with a 2nd pair of hands to help.
Here is an old pic of my '98 with 35's on it...

I had a pair of add a leafs on one of my old trucks and they were as noisy as HELL and within 24 months one broke right in half and that was with 95% street use. I will never everdo an add a leaf on one of my trucks again. In my opinion there are better ways to go than that in rear for lift.
