Limited Slip Differential Fluid?
MMStar
http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/svo.aspx for the rear.......
http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/svg.aspx for the front, you can even use the 110 if youd like (for 4wd trucks)
btw amsoil does sell an LSD additive but their website and mechs that i have talked to said that you dont have to add the lsd additive when you use the severe gear as it already has some in it. i havent heard any chatter at all.

C-clips were used to hold the clutch packs together when the 9 1/4" corporate LSD rearend was assembled at the factory. They sometimes fail, less often catastrophically, causing gear and housing damage. This does not apply if your truck does not have LSD. As stated, you need 75w-140 synthetic in the rear diff and 75w-90 in the front. If the truck does have LSD, you need four ounces of friction modifier for the clutch packs to do their job. These lube specs are from the shop manual on my '03, but it isn't likely to be different. To find out if your truck has LSD, look for a sticker on the glove box door and a reference to "... anti-spin ..." If there is no sticker, find a place where you can put one rear wheel on a slippery surface and one on a dry surface. Goose it. If it just spins the wheel on the slippery side, you don't have LSD. If it spins briefly and then moves out, you do have LSD.
i dont think i have LSD then, only 1 tire spins when ive done it before. wish both would spin..but hey, just the passenger side rear spins. in this case what fluid do i need for my differential? i was gonna go with royal purple
I guess the requirements for fluids have changed, from one year to the next. My manual indicated that it's supposed to take
75W-90GL For th front and rear. with the Limited slip diff. fluid being added to the rear only.....
how come you guys are using this 140 stuff? were you're rear differentials designed differently?
