Now I can see my ugly brakes
I've got an 05 QC 2WD and put some 22in rims on but now my stock brakes are showing in the background. Is there a way to clean them up cosmeticly? Paint maybe? Or is it gonna be $$$$$ for new brakes just because the stock ones look like crap?
Thanks guys!

It's real cheap to paint the calipers. You just need to got to NAPA/Shucks/kragar, whatever you have in your area. They will have high heat, or specifically caliper paint. Either will work. They come in a ton of colors. Just take off the wheel, take the calipers off like your gonna change pads. and paint away. Dont paint the pads, or rotors.
To change the rotors..well...you cant get colors. The only thing you can really do, is get slotted, drilled, or slotted/drilled rotors. Witch will be spendy.

you cant paint your pads for obvious reasons....definatly your calipers and yo can paint your hubs too which will help in the appearance. new rotrs are pricey as mentioned above. especially for the nice slotted and drilled ones. id just paint the hub and caliper..which i have considered doing myself.

As said above, you can make a few changes relatively cheaply.
1.) Buy wheel dust covers - essentially shields that cover up the brakes/rotors to prevent brake dust from getting on the wheels/car. Normally I'd say stay away from these, but since your on such a large wheel size....your still getting plenty of airflow over the rotors
2.) Paint your calipers/rotor hubs. You can paint ALL surfaces that do not directly come in contact with the brakes or the braking surface. This includes the center hub on your rotors. They sell kits for as cheap as $10 all the way up to $50, that include the paint and necessary stuff to cover them up and do it right.....just takes a couple hours.....best if you can let it sit for a day...
Honestly though, the best way to do it is when you do a brake/rotor upgrade or replace them....as this will give you nicer looking rotors and you are already taking everything off......
