This is probably an unusual question...

I have a set of stock 16x7 wheels laying around from a 2000 Dodge Ram 4x4. I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not these would fit a 2003 Dodge Ram 4x2? The current stocks on the 2003 are 17x8s.I believe the lug pattern is the same, butnot too sure about back spacing orif the smaller wheel size would affect any braking components on the 2003. Has anyone got a clue on this one?

If I remember correctly they will NOT fit your 2003. I want to say that the brakes get in the way.

 

The brakes are bigger and they will not fit. I have a set of stock alum wheels off my 07 with rubber, only 2500 miles on em. For sale if you want em.

 

They will not fit due the the brakes and if im not mistaken the backspacing also.

 

17" wheel is as small as you can go on a 3rd gen.
