isnt that the whole point to buy a 4x4, i dont know what i would do if i never had a 4x4, but personally I just laugh when i see a lifted 4x2 it doesnt make sense, but as everyone says its your truck and do what you want if you like it thats all that matters.

Alot of people need to tow/haul/pull things, dont live anywhere that 4x is required.

Also, if you go off road ALOT. I would imagine its pretty rough on your truck and I would hate to spend money on a nice dodge truck just to tear it up. I'm not saying you guys do, but that is what i would think.

wouldnt those helper airbags in the back be better for towing/hauling/pulling things instead of a higher truck?

JD1500 its the wanna be poser factor that makes the 4x4 owners laugh. . . . and if you truely tow a lot (first off buy a cummins) having a 6" lift or 6 + 3 inch body you can tow much at all due to the drop tongue you would have to use, and if you really hauled a lot of stuff a 6"+ would make it hard to get **** in and out, much less heavy things. Do you tow/haul a lot, i doubt it, otherwise you wouldnt have made that statement.

then why did you say the above??
this poll isnt if a 4x2 is a real truck, its if they should be jacked up with mud tires.

so someone thats sitting 9" to over a foot higher than stock (lift + taller tires) would not be one to tow or haul a lot of stuff because it wouldnt make sense.

uhhh... ok. what is wrong with a 4x2 being lifted? give me a very good reason. there are waaaaaay more 4x2's thatare lifted than you think. plus, when you drive a 4x4, you drive it in 4x2 and switch to 4x4 when you really need it. i live in cali, there are a few trucks out here that are 4x4. thats usually diesels. you dont see many gassers out here that are 4x4. very rare. plus, 3/4 trucks out here are lifted. v6, v8, v10, and diesels. and maybe 20% of those are 4x4. MAYBE 20%, if that.
