i just got flowmaster 40 delta from pepboys for 85.99. RIght now it is sitting in my room waiting to be installed. it is single in/ dual out.

i hope i got right measurment. it is 3" in/ 2.5" out. i will post video with stock muffler then flowmaster muffler. i know it will be loud as hell but i love it cuz ppl can get out of my way.

does rear resonator reduce loudness on muffler?
should i remove it or not?
i will buy the clamp the connects to muffler so i dont have to replace the factory pipes. i asked a guy from monro shop and a guy said it would cost 200 bucks to install the pipes. 200!!! hell i am not gonna let this guy take my money. ill have a friend install for me on saturday. i dont like to waste money for someone to do something. [:'(] i have a youngetr brother and he said he would install it for me.

NOTE: it is first modification to my truck, next one will be CAI (K&N).

 

Get rid of it.

 

yeah the resonator kills the sound makes it more of a muffled fart. so if you can manage to get it off do so! congrats on new sound!

 

whats the state laws on the resonator? NY has to hook up the computer to the exhaust for inspections...

 

oh i will rid of rear resonator. i am too exited to install it but i dont have time to do that cuz of job so i have to take lexus( my fathers car )

 

AutoZone has FlowMaster 44, is that any good?

 

auto zone is really far from me.... its not good. i will like 40 delta and scare my neighbor crap cuz they are not expecting it. i will be first neighbor to have loudest muffler in my neighbor.

 

about that law, i will be keeping the first resonator and it would take care of it cuz it is their job[8D].

front resonator = catalytic converter

 

you should be very happy with the sound, I have dual 40's with an x-pipe, but i would definately consider a different CAI.... I love my AEM and i've seen a lot of people that arent that happy with K&N.

 

I have my resonator....you don't have to remove it...mine sounds almost like a friend's mustang GT...sounds mean and aggressive...I think it'll be too loud w/out the resonator.
