Emblem Removal ??
Im thinkin about removing the Ram 1500 emblems off of my doors.... Does anyone know how to do this succesfully without leaving any marks??? I didnt know how it would look till i saw a truck with them removed today and Man does it look good... Any help would be great...
A lot of goo gone and your fingers if in a warm enough climate. A blow dryer to heat the adhesive helps too. Just don't use anything plastic/tough. Never thought of the fishing line idea, but that's a good one too. The result is so worth it!

I used fishing line to cut the badges off.. goo gone to break down the adhesive material and a white pencil eraser to remove the left over material the thing about erasers is that it cuases enough frictiona nd heat the remove the gunk but not enough to scratch or blemish the paint i have done three trucks so far and not a single scratch o yeah you also need a 12 pack ...
My truck is an 04 and I just debadged it a few weeks ago. I used some light compound and a buffer followed by some wax and I can't see where mine were. Hope this gives you a warm fuzzy. Later

The way I was taught by a friend that worked at a body shop at the time was to use fishing line, then a pinstripeeraser on a rechargeable drill. Just light pressure from the eraser is all that's needed, no goo gone or anything else necessary. Takes just seconds. You can order them online or get them at an auto paint supply house for about $12.95 and use it over & over. Napa and some other auto parts stores carry them, but I'm told they want considerable more (like $30) for them. Finish off with just a light coat of wax (since unlike the rest of the truck this area has never been waxed...

This is the exact one I currently have, bought at an auto paint store about 5 miles from my house for $12.95. This one is available online for $13.50. Here's the link:

Just found one for the same price I paid:
