Default Shims for leaf springs!!!!

i just lowered my dodge last week, (2/4) and now the diff keeps shifting up!!!! i was wondering how many degrees would i need to shim the leaf springs?Help!!!

bout 1.75 or so...and my guess is if this is your first truck you've lowered, and no one really told you much about doing it? Did you weld the axles perches in place?

1st lets start here
what type of drop did you use? 2nd are you sure your perches are installed the correct way? i ask this because when i dropped my ride i needed no shims or anything. 1st drop was with drop coils and flip kit. current drop is with drop coils and drop leafs.

first time i dropped a ram, yea the perches are facing the correct way, its a 2" in the front and 5" in the back, gonna get sum control arms soon also, but i dont wanna go 6" in the back cuz i dont wanna c- notch, i was thinking about welding the perches, just asking which one would be more beneficial, welding or shimming it, i should weld it though right? im saving for a 408 stroker too

o yea the u-joint had play in it b4 also! its a mcgaughy's kit too

i have the mcgaughy's 2/4 kit on my truck...i welded the perches in and also used a 1.75 shim.....i would weld the perches in and then go from there, see how much of a shim you need to put in
