I'll tell you what, get the MC Hemi.... I LOVE MINE...

If you enjoy power, then that is the way to go. Mines a 3:73 LSD with large tires and I have plenty of power off the line and towing (although I have only towed light loads so far) and MASSIVE power at 60-80 + mph.... I can pass whomever I want whenever I want with plenty to spare. I just came home from the beach yesterday and up hills I passed and was going WAY over the speed limit. Don't get me wrong, drive safe....

It's quiet, it's smooth and it has every bit of power throughout all the bands.

Jamkak, I am not sure, but I don't think you can get the 20" rims in a MC. I have the 20" rims on my QC and I love them, untill I have to put new tires on them before the end of this year, which runs about $700-$1000.

Yeah, that part isn't so exciting, but I will say they look pretty good on those QC...

Yeah to get 20" in the 3/4 Ton 8 lug would cost a buck or two as well....

Now that you say that, that's a really good point... I forgot about the 8 lug... That somewhat makes up my mind to not worry about it...

I have one other quick question that came up last night as I was looking at options...

In my current durango I have the gps system but it doesn't have the uconnect system. As the laramie package comes with the uconnect system, I am debating on not getting the gps system but I am curious how well the uconnect system integrates with the other stereo options? I like the idea of having the number come up on an easy to read display but was wondering what everyone thought? I've realized that up here in Montana that I really haven't used the gps system in the last 3 years and I'm wondering if it really is worth the $1600...

Thanks again!

I consider the GPS's a waste of money. I have a couple hand helds that i use in my truck, on my quad, flying or even riding in someone else's truck... much more worth the buck than the one stuck in the dash. On the other hand the built in DVD keeps the darn kids quiet...

The rear dvd is pretty much my only requirement per the wife and the 2 1/2 year old twins... How well does the basic stereo with the uconnect seem to work? Isit still pretty handy?

Thanks

Well, it will be official come monday morning once I decide through the weekend to either go with the basic stereo or the gps stereo on my order... I like the ability to adjust the rear dvd player from my current gps in my '05 durango and I've been told that I lose this feature if I go with just the cd players and since I barely listen to cd's anymore I just don't see the need for a 6 disc player unless it's the gps unit... With that being decided I will have ordered an '08 1500 MC Laramiewith pretty much every option... front hood protector, block heater, trailer tow + protection packages, side air bags, dvd, anti spin diff, OWL tires, power trailer tow mirrors, leather bucket seats in the Electric Blue color and a full tank of gas. Thought the gaswas a cute one in this day and age... I am also having the dealer add a line-x spray-in liner and for pure fun the chrome exhaust tip and some chrome rear light covers...

All said and done it will be out the door for$34,519 with the basic stereo or $36,187 w/ the gps... As I'm doing an order the dealer is only charging the exact invoice price plus discountingof $5500 for the basic rebate and another $2000 as a loyalty rebate... Personally if someone currently owns another chrysler vehicle and is looking towards a new MC this month, I think these are some unbelievable prices... That said though, I've always said if you feel like you walked off the lot with a deal then it doesn't matter what the next guy gets... You still got a deal...

Thanks for all of the assistance with this issue this week, I really appreciate it!
