I did EVERYTHING myself except for the tranny fluid (too big a mess) at 30K.
Tranny fluid doesn't make that mess if you take an old garbage can lid w/ holes drilled in the center and place on top of your drain pan. Also good for all the small drips from the filter & valve body after pan is removed. Old trick I learned many years ago.

So the Champion plugs are the best bet to get? My Hemi has about 52K kilometers on it now, so I figure it could do with a change. And are they really that much of a pain to change? I havn't really taken a look at what it would take yet. Oh well, I guess there's one way to find out...

yea, stock plugs are good for the hemi; dont waste the money on the platinums. the first time is the hardest to change them, after that its easy; I have it down to about 1/2 hr now. What I do is drop a 5/8 deep socket down the hole then drop the extention down the hole and then put the wratchet on and loosen them up, when they are loose I pull the extention and socket out, then I have a magnet on a string drop that down the whole and pull the plug out. when you put the new ones in make sure you use anti-seize. I actually pulled my platinum plugsout tonight and only took 5 mins, but thats because my heads are sitting in my garage on my table, lol.
