Torsion Bar leveling q's
Hey guys just a few general questions before i take the plunge. when doing the leveling the trucks front end should be up in the air right? I will not be doing offroading with the truck unless forced due to circumstance. that being said should i buy aftermarket keys or used the OEM's? and last question replace the front shocks or no? thank you all guru's that are Dodge Forum!

I'm going to be doing this too. There is lots of information here, you just have to search and read.
I've done my research and this is what I've learned so far:
1. Most people suggest lifting the truck on jacks to adjust the torsion, some claim that you don't have to lift it - personally i think lifting your truck on jacks just makes it easier.
2. I'm not aware of any OEM torsion keys to level your truck - just aftermarket.
3. This is up to you. From what I've read, sooner or later you will have to replace your shocks because changing the torsion bar setting will put the shocks out of their ideal range of motion and make them wear sooner. If you don't replace them you will definitely have a stiffer ride.
After all my research, my mind is made up to go with the truxxx kit mainly because of the stock relocation brackets. These brackets keep your shocks in their ideal range of motion which will maintain the OEM ride.
If any one has bought the truxxx kit please let me know about your experience.

no kit, i just cranked the bolts. For sure put the truck on stands so its effort less. i got pro comp mx6 shocks that are for a old toyota 4x4 but they work after changing out the bottom bushing. My rides a little stiffer more like a 2500 but its cool. My lift was free besides the cost for shocks.
