Mounting a rear winch?
Ive looked around the web and i cant find any rear mount winch.. is there a way to bolt a winch in the bed? or is there a hitch mounted winch... but with a hitch mount. if i get stuck in the mud wont the winch be in trouble? wouldnt the safer bet to have a winch bolted into the bed?
would you guys recommend the hitch or the bed.. Cause i went off roadin the other night and i got stuck up to the frame.... Oh and dont worry guys i got pics of the truck and pics of where i got stuck.. but not when the truck was stuck it was dark out.. ill post those next week
Ifn' it were me, and if not wanting a traditional front mounted one, I'd get the hitch mount. Then put a 2" hidden mount on the front (cheap and like 1/2 hour to install), then you could slide it on the front or back any time you want to...
you could go with this

Have seen someone with a hitch in the front and rear for their winch, it is a very good idea indeed. works great for him. He can also put a hitch with a trailer ball on it to move his boat trailer around into tight spaces at his house. gives him a little more control not to mention a MUCH better view when moving it into those tight places.
