Can anyone tell why there are sooo many non belivers out there? has this ever happened to you in your ram truck...you are driving down the freeway minding your own buisness when all of a sudden a car pulls on the side of you and gives you that stupid look like they want to race and when they accelerate ahead of you a little bit they think they have done something special..well this happened to me today and i just had to tell you guys about it..well... the guy was driving a toyota camry (about a 2005 to 2007) and he pulled up on the side of me and gave me this really stupid look and stayed on the side of me while i was driving and then i looked at him and gave him this (are you serious)look and he accelerated and thought he was doing something lol.... so what i did was got right behind him and kept up with him as he tried to pull away at 80mph..so what I did next was jump over to the other lane and put the pedal to the floor and showed him something..lol I passed him within 2 seconds and pulled away sooo easy it was like he was standing still ...when I hit 120mph(in about6 secs)I looked in my mirror and he was nowhere to be seen ..I had to slow back down to let him catch up..then as he came up he stayed behind me..lol where the non-believers belong

The sad thing is our trannies arean achillies heel for us. Worst torque converter in the industry. We lose somewhere around 25-30% of our engines HP before reaching the rear wheels. A Titan by example, only loses about 15%. Imagine what you'd have done to him with a serious torque converter in there!!!

 

Is it only just the torque converter HammerZ71...................??

Or is it the computer robbing software controlling the torque management??

I don't know what it is about our trucks, but one can certainly feel something robbing us................if only to preserve a weak 2nd gear and transmission etc the mother Dodge gave us in these trucks.

I've had a very similar thing happen on the interstate. Some ricer-glitter covered thing wants to play and just has no chance. An' yeah, MudWolf... 120! There wasa time when that was just cruisin'

 

Torque Converter sucks, guys messsing around with deleting torque mgmt. ARE getting good power to the wheels, then blowing the tranny. So ditching TM would be great and a necessary step, but then your gonna have to beef up the tranny anyway. SuperChips will get 2-prime out of there if you want them to. Request it on their forum, within a couple days they'll have an update for you to get 2-Prime the hell out of the way...

I am guessing that some of your mods attracted the ricer, the taillights and wheels (they look nice by the way). He proabably thought you were some poser or something.....seems like you handed it to him when you showed him that its not just for show...it can also go..

 

i have this happen with some frustrating regularity. i drive to and from work on state hwy 46 and interstate 35. someone always wants to try and race. my truck sounds great, not very quick though. the ricers are fun though. the other dodge trucks are fun to play with to see where i stand. i wish i could get more top end out of her, she gets to 100 and really doesn't want anymore, just like taking off from a dead stand still, till i hit twenty i ain't goin nowhere!
