Whos towing a camper or sumtin ?
Lately while towing the camper or utility trailer, I feel a sort of dead spot when I take off from a stop, then a little nudge ...
Anyone else ? ... rounding 34k ....
almost like the drive shaft is loose? Its probably the trailer has surge brakes. The tongue on the trailer moves. Or it might be your tranny. Mine nudges a little from stopping to slowly taking off. It don't know if the tranny thing is bad or not so can some one explain if they have it too. I tow a big ol toy hauler.
I get the same feeling while towing. It is horrible. Get this and it will eliminate all of your uncomfort.

Yes I have seen it and used it. I pulled a 20 foot tanden axle travel trailer the very night I got my truck, 200 miles through mountains with one of those things. They work GREAT. I didnt even know the trailer was behind me. It towed perfectly. I need to buy one before this summer, I will be pulling my 78 Bronco from Minnesota to Texas, and that thing is huge and heavy. 9 inches of lift.
If it was only to be used when towing something small, then it would not have a 10,000 lb max gross tow rating, also, it would be pointless because you don't feel be buckling when towing something small. So, I am gonna have to say you are wrong. It is just like a regular hitch, so how is it not going to work?

weight distribution hitches are supposed to be on big ol trailers. Not too many people know our trucks can only tow about 5000 with a regular hitch. You get in an accident towing that weight it will be your fault for being over weight. The max towing capacity with any truck is with a properly equiped trailer with electric brakes and weight distribution.
I hauled a 6000lb setup in my old 92 GMC truck (ext cab 4x4, 5.7 TBI, only 3.42 rear) with zero issues so I hope my current truck is a bit more capable than that.
2000 lb U-Haul auto transport + 2001 Grand Marquis = over 6k lbs.
