well all that **** im not too concerned with. i will probally have the truck another year at most. i just want tires and shocks and fix my damn ball joint.....ill proablly only do the one that is really messed up, the upper driver side. my passenger side boots are ripped but the ball joints seem alright. so im gonna leave it. i need longer shocks because of the leveling kit and 3" body lift. i think tie rods are fine and everything else checked out. so one ball jouint and shocks..the next owner can deal with the crap. im looking into an 07 or 08 ram 1500 4x4 hemi QCSB. so it'll be new and i wont have those problems for awhile but i will eventually run into them do to big tires and lift. thanks for the help. i think im just gonna order that upper control arm for the driver side and go from there.

I just looked up some ball joints and it looks as if they bolt in for the lowers and (50 bucks or so) and are replaced as an assembly for the uppers (80 bucks)

so i can pretty much do all the labor myself? get the lowers pressed out....or hammer the rivets out and just bolt in the new ones. and for the uppers.. just remove the 2 bolts holding on the upper control arm right?

Cost. Plain and simple. It is an extra hole to drill and tap and then still have to make and install the zerk. I know Moog brand ball joints and tie rod ends come greasable as far as aftermarket goes. Lifetime warranty too.
